Background and Experience

With over 18 years of teaching experience in primary schools I have developed a profound understanding of child development and educational practices. My journey through various educational settings has equipped me with the ability to tailor my teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring that each child receives the individual attention they require to thrive.

Throughout my career, I have implemented a variety of instructional strategies, focusing on fostering an inclusive environment that encourages critical thinking and creativity. I have successfully integrated technology into the classroom, enhancing student engagement and enabling differentiated learning experiences. My commitment to continuous professional development has enabled me to remain current with pedagogical trends and educational research, which I actively apply in my teaching.

Additionally, my extensive experience in working with children with diverse learning needs, including those with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties, has further refined my skills. I have collaborated with educational psychologists, parents, and support staff to design and implement effective interventions, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed. I bring a wealth of experience to full diagnostic assessments which are conducted in a professional but calm and relaxed way.

Overall, my passion for teaching and commitment to student development has shaped my extensive experience, allowing me to make a positive impact in the lives of countless children throughout my career.

I am also married and a mum to three lovely children. When I have any spare time I love to read and bake. In my younger days I spent all my time Ice skating and I represented Great Britain in many international competitions and in the World Championships. I was member of the National and British Squad and held the title of British Champion for over 8 years.
